Client 34/96 The client developed a disabling condition and required several years of treatment. During this time DA2C repaired and subsequently provided technical support on her existing computer system. Following the successful treatment the client gained access to a training course and DA2C were able to upgrade the hardware to provide internet access. Client 02/98 The client, a charity, required technical support to develop their mailshots. DA2C supplied a scanner and a laser printer and provided technical support on image manipuation. The client subsequently decided to establish a web presence and DA2C provided technical advice and support. DA2C supplied a computer system and training package to the designated staff member to allow the charity to develop their in-house web design capability to reduce the running costs of the service. Client 06/98 The client had developed a seriously disabling illness but had a prior interest in computing. DA2C has, over the years, provided a range of hardware and software to enable the client to develop his computing skills. Client 14/00 The client, a not-for-profit organisation supporting disabled people, required a web presence. DA2C arranged registration and hosting of the site and produced the draft web design. The design criteria were for in-house support of the site so DA2C developed a database driven site creation facility so that day to day maintenance of the site can be accomplished by staff with no knowledge of HTML or web design skills. Client 02/00 Due to illness the client was no longer able to pursue her career. DA2C provided computer equipment and training, supporting the client through a course in office standard software. The client subsequently gained employment working for a distributor of aromatherapy products. DA2C then provided the company with technical support to facilitate their employment of disabled staff. The client has now obtained work with a local firm and again DA2C are providing technical support including the development of the company web site. The web design is being undertaken by another DA2C client. Client 03/00 The client is housebound and most of her family live abroad. Thanks to the generosity of a local firm DA2C were able to provide a full computer system and internet access. We then provided training and telephone hotline support to enable her to use the equipment, greatly reducing the cost of communication with other family members. |
